We've REALLY tried to think of everything to make your vacation as delightful as possible! So, more about our home:

We've created a unique, beach-themed, VERY clean two-story on stilts lakefront home that sleeps 13 in beds and is a short walk, bicycle ride or golf cart (available to rent through the park) ride to the Atlantic Ocean. Note that ocean front homes can cost up to $1,200 per nighttime here - get on the lake here for less than half the price - and it's MUCH quieter! Our home has a entirely equipped kitchen including a charming, thick oak table with seating for 12, and a bar area that seats 3 more. We added an RO (Reverse Osmosis) water system. You can appreciate a nightly "Movie Nighttime" in the Great Room: includes a 65" Intelligent TV for access to your streaming: Hulu, HBO Max, Amazon, Prime, etc. Master BR #1 on the main level has a king size bed and an adjoining full bath, 55" flat-screen TV and the four upstairs BR's each have cathedral-high ceilings and flat screen HD TV's. Two BR's also have direct upper deck access with lake vistas (one is Master #2 with a gorgeous room including sitting room, 14' cathedral ceiling and king bed), and the main level deck is directly off the Family Room/Kitchen and has a new table (2022 that seats 12) and chairs that overlook the striking lake and fountains.

Under the home we have an enclosed outside shower with hot/cold water, COMPLIMENTARY bicycles, beach chairs (feel complimentary to take to the beach), body boards, beach toys, fishing rods (the lake is open for fishing) and a very clean, covered parking for four cars and two golf carts (available from the park to rent).

How to find the best vacation home experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the best rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 5 BR, 5 STAR ?? Lakefront Beach House @ Ocean Lakes: FREE Bikes & Waterpark! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If not, email the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
