Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

Finding the best value:

  • Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. 5th Floor Beachfront Getaway in Two Bedroom Bliss has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your contract.

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
