Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 5th Flr :1 Bedroom King Suite Stunning Scenery has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
