Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Planning and choosing your prefectvacation home:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Ocean View Retreat: Includes Breakfast 14th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
