Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Ocean View Retreat: Includes Breakfast 14th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
