Tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Cal & Issy's Bluewater Resort Unit 602 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Have a great stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
