Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips:
How to get the best rental value:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- To get the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 7th-floor oceanfront studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
