Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose the best Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 9th Flr Oceanfront Wrap Around Balcony 2BRCondo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
