Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Lovely 1st floor condo in Magnolia Place has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
