Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectrental home:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. A Pelican Paradise.... Fun In The Sun Year Round! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
