Getting the most from your spending budget:
- To book the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.

- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
