Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- To get the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting and booking a perfectrental home:
- Choose your vacation week and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Amazing Ocean View Suite w\/ Double Beds + Easy Beach Access has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
