Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Alluring 1Br Oceanview Suite! Dogs Welcome! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
