We are on the 15th floor and we have an gorgeous ocean front view. The balcony is ideal to set and relax and watch the sunrise or the sunset, anxiety complimentary. We are located on the (Golden Mile) section of the Grandiose Strand, one of the most handsome beaches. The beaches are clean and well maintained.
We have watched para surfing from the balcony. The beach is a ideal place to spend time calming, unwinding and recharging with friends and family. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation spot with fantastic vistas of the Atlantic Ocean just steps from the beach, you have just found it.
You may see dolphins while relaxing on the balcony in our Adirondack chairs. There is something magical about seeing the dolphins swimming and playing. Every winter from November to April, North Atlantic Right Whales, Humpback, Pigmy Sperm, and Fin Whales visit the South Carolina coast, including the coast of Myrtle Beach. We also have binoculars you can use.
Our condo complex is family aligned, and our units are not intended for events lasting into the wee hours of the morning.
You will see beach goers that slowly and methodically walk the beach, heads down, while striving to find the ultimate beach trophy. A Shark’s Tooth! I hope someday for me.
As luck would have it the prime location on the East coast for finding shark teeth is from Wilmington NC to Georgetown SC and OFP is right in the middle. Shark teeth from Bull, Tiger, Sand, Hammerhead, and Great White sharks can wash ashore with every wave that hits the beach. Even an occasional Megalodon tooth the size of a hand can be found. It might not have come from Jaws, but it could have been from his great, great, great, great grandfather.
Just in case you are wondering the average shark tooth takes at least 10,000 years to fossilize but most found on our beach are multiple hundred thousand years old.
Savor the heated indoor pool & hot tub or the outdoor pool surrounded by elegant Palmetto trees. We have bathrooms in the lobby with a very enormous shower where you can rinse off after the beach if you would like.
Recent upgrades include new granite on the island, new lighting and new bar stools. We also upgraded our nightstands and dresser and patio furnishings.
The Kitchen features a full-size stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster. Coffee station with Keurig machine so you can appreciate a fresh cup of coffee as you watch the sun rise on the balcony. We also have a drip coffee maker, if a Keurig is not your thing. We do have a Ninja blender if a margarita or smoothie is in your future.
The living room has a sizable flat panel TV w/cable and complimentary Wi-Fi.
The bedroom has a king size bed with flat panel TV.
We have an refreshed bathroom, also there is second vanity with the sink in bedroom area with plenty of room for makeup and necessities. There is also a blow dryer.
The building features a covered parking garage. Mirrors have freshly been installed to assist in navigating the parking structure. There is also a parking lot for over-sized cars (16 ft or longer). We also have 3 elevators. No motorbikes or trailers are allowed at Ocean Forest Plaza.
The Golden Mile is a great place to take a walk, go running or take a ride on your bicycle. The outside is handsome and gorgeously landscaped, across the street from the condo there are exercise stations along the sidewalk.
Ocean Forest Plaza is close to shopping, eateries, golf and numerous grocery stores close by. Our condo is located in a peaceful section of the beach. The Bucket Bar and Grille is a block from the condo and is a great for a fast bite or drink. Another favorite is Fiesta Mexicana just a short drive.
Myrtle Beach is home to many striking golf courses and miniature golf courses.
A short drive to Broadway at the Beach (so much fun for kids of all ages) and home of Paula Dean's restaurant and Ripley's Aquarium. Several places in town you can rent golf carts for cruising around town and sight-seeing.
There is definitely no smoking of any kind in our unit or on our balcony. There are no loud events or music. We take pride in our condo and hope you treat our condo, like you would your grandma's home.
We hope to see you soon, Chris and Vickie
