Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.
How to choose and book your Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by having your family agree to the best dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Ocean View Studio with 3 Beds! Sea Mist 51303 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
