Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips:
Finding your perfect rental:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Book your rental property in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the best vacation home:
- Select your dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Ocean View Studio with 3 Beds! Sea Mist 51303 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
