Rental property booking tips and tricks:
Sticking to a rental home budget:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. B127: Your Ideal Coastal Retreat at Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Tips for your stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
