Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Booking in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Narrow your Search:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Beach Getaway & Pet-Friendly Oceanfront Suite has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If not, call the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
