Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips:
When to visit & When to book:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose the perfectrental:
- First, have your group agree to the best dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Beach SPECIAL BayView Resort, 1 Bedroom Suite has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
