Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
Money saving strategies:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. BEACHFRONT ESCAPE TO RELAX, UNWIND & TAKE IN THE OCEAN AIR has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
