How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to select the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Start by having your group decide on date ranges and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Beachy 7th floor studio - Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
