Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose your prefectrental home:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. A114 at the Myrtle Beach Resort : Newly Renovated 2 bed 2 bath has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the host before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
