How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select vacation week and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Beautiful, fully stocked Oceanview condo and only150 yards to the beach. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
