Tips and Tricks to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Beautiful Ocean View 2 Bedroom Condo + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If not, call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
