How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Filter your search:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Beautiful Ocean View Condo with Four Pools has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
More tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many issues.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
