Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips and tricks:
Finding the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by having your group choose vacation dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Beautiful Oceanfront Condo-Spectacular View! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. If not, email or call the host before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation group.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. text the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
