Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Beautiful, sun-filled villa with access to all resort amenities has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your trip.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
