Tips to get the very best rental home experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing and booking yourrental home:
- Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Beautiful, sun-filled villa with access to all resort amenities has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If not, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Have a wonderful stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
