Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful well furnished 4 bedroom 2 bath Ocean Lakes Home Great Deal ! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
