Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. SANDY PEARL, NEW 2023 BUILD, in Ocean Lakes, 5 Bdr 4.5 Ba has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Have a fantastic stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
