Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Beautifully Renovated 1 BR Condo-Stunning Ocean Views- Ocean Forest 801 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
