Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family decide on the best dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Lustrous Oceanfront Suite @ Beach Colony Resort! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before booking the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
During your stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
