Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Book your vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your search:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Lustrous Oceanfront Colony Suite has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If not, email the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is right for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for your stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Contact the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
