Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- To get the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your group select a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Rush to the Beach for your Oceanfront Vacation has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
