Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a rental home:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Bright, Beautiful Oceanfront 1bd Condo Myrtle Beach 11307 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
