Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Captivating Oceanfront King Suite 10th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
