Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • To book the best rental for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • First, have your group agree to date ranges and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Caribbean Cove 504 - 4 Bedroom Condo has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Know before you go:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
