Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Filter your search:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Carolina Grande Resort - 2BR Suite w\/ Balcony has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
