How to get the best vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
How to choose the best vacation home:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Cayman Waves! Sleeps 6, balcony with OCEAN and POOL view! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
- During arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
