Tips to get the optimal vacation home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Finding the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Charming 4-bed Beach house in enchanting Myrtle Beach with AC, WiFi has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation family.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
