How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select your dates and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean View 2X Covered Patios (By Beach Star) has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
