Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and picking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Close To Downtown Myrtle Beach But Far Enough Away To Enjoy The Peace And Quiet! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
