Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose a group leader, select your dates, and select a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Coastal Comfort Queen Efficiency 8th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Additional considerations:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
