Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect rental home experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. B332 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Coastal Haven Retreat has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Call the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
