Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips and tricks:
Getting the most from your budget:
- Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.
How to pick the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Direct OCEANFRONT 2021 Remodeled 3rd floor End unit Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Upon arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
