Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Get the best rental value:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Direct oceanfront Margate with access to resort amenities, 1003 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
