Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to pick the best rental home:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- M2703 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If not, email the host before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
