Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Direct Oceanfront, Ocean Creek, South Tower 5th Floor Gg5 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
