How to book the best rental experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- To get the best rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select your vacation week and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Sun, Sand, And Fun- Wyndham SeaWatch Resort- 2 Bedroom Deluxe Villas has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your family.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
