Strategies for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
