Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectvacation home:
- Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Myrtlewood Condo 1 Mile To Beach - Feel At Home. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
