How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Make a plan and pick your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- First and foremost, have your group commit to date ranges and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Elevated Serenity: Ocean View Ste Free Breakfast has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- During check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
