Tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. ??Fabulous Penthouse, Central MB, 2 Balconies,Watch Sunrise in Your Bed has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
