How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the perfect vacation home:

  • Choose vacation week and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. First Floor Luxury 1,350 Sq Ft First Floor Condo w\/ No Steps has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. text the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
